Abstract:
Abstract We propose a technique for detecting the melanoma skin cancer with the Otsu thresholding that segments the lesion from the entire image. Boundary tracing algorithm has been used for further segmentation. After extracting the features from the lesion, Stolz algorithm has been used for the classification stage. The results obtained are presented in the form of statistical tables and graphs. The experimental result shows that the proposed algorithm makes good for detecting different stages of skin cancer. Keywords: Skin Cancer, Otsu, Boundary Tracing, Stolz.
